PS5 console accessibility features

Customize your PlayStation 5 console experience to perform to your needs and specifications. Quickly access accessibility features* from the control center.

Display and Sound

The PS5 console offers a range of customizable display and sound features including Zoom, Color Correction, Text Size, Mono audio for headphones, plus more.

Screen Reader

The PS5 console's Screen Reader can read aloud the text on screen and provide spoken guidance for operating the console.

Accessibility Tags

Accessibility Tags allow game developers to provide detailed insight into the accessibility features supported in respective games.

If a game supports Accessibility Tags, players will see a list of accessibility features when browsing for titles across PlayStation Store for PS5, including visual and audio accessibility settings, DualSense controller options, difficulty settings and online communication features like chat transcription.

Use a second controller for assistance

Enjoy games collaboratively or help a friend navigate a challenging section of a game using a second controller as an assist controller. Assign a second controller to one account as an assist controller and use two controllers to operate your PS5 console as if you were using a single controller.

You can use an assist controller when your main controller is a DualSense or DualSense Edge wireless controller, or a PS5-supported third-party controller.*
